Hands-on with the 4th generation Apple iPod touch
There are many of us who want to stick with our wireless carrier, yet still would like to experience the latest Apple touchscreen device. Thankfully, Apple launched the iPod touch in three different capacities and it provides consumers with the high resolution retina display, A4 processor, iOS 4.1, and HD video camera.
A wired stereo headset, USB cable, and quick start guide are included in the slim plastic box with the iPod touch.
New iPod touch next to an older iPod touch model. As you can see the narrower new version is quite different than the previous version.
This shot shows the back of both iPod touch devices.
The iPod touch is very small and light and fits easily within my hand.
The power button is found on the top right with the camera and microphone just down the back from the power button.
Distinct volume buttons are found on the left side of the iPod touch.
The 3.5mm headset jack, 30 pin Apple connector, and speaker are found on the bottom of the iPod touch.
The camera on the back captures HD video, but takes only 1 megapixel still photos.
