Selling goods is important, but selling services is growing

Selling goods over the Internet, via Amazon, eBay, and Esty, will always be important, but service sales, Airbnb, Thumbtack, and Uber, are growing explosively thank to the Web.

The sharing economy jobs pay poorly

While we may like cheap rentals and car rides, they come with poor wages. The Internet and the sharing economy have proven to be a mixed blessing so far.
