New social software startups in 2012

The Enterprise 2.0 product market, far from dying down, continues to see new entrants. Here are 10 recent product releases that address the needs of organizations large and small across the social business spectrum, from workforce collaboration and social analytics to marketing optimization and Social CRM.

First up: MindLink enables organizations to create engaged team-based communities that feature open, transparent collaboration between knowledge workers via a topic-based structure. The social tool is also intended to improve productivity by eliminating email overload and includes Microsoft Lync integration.

It also enables the creation of external customer communities that can lower support costs and increase revenue opportunities.

The new version of MangoApps connects its social collaboration features to MSFT Outlook, SharePoint, and Office applications.  Users can now collaborative author and discuss content in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as e-mail and SharePoint.

MindLink, which leverages Microsoft Lync 2010, lets organizations build engaged team- and interest-based communities that foster open, transparent collaboration among knowledge workers; enable information sharing by content experts; and improve productivity by eliminating email overload.
