Now with core functionality free for iPhone and iPad users, Microsoft's Office for iPhone and iPad apps range has been given a reboot.

Without an Office 365 subscription, users were once only able to view, copy and paste, share and present — and could not create new files, edit or save them. However, the Redmond giant has now made core functionality free without a subscription.

Evernote Hello is a mobile app, an accompaniment to Evernote, which allows you to connect with and create contacts through business card scanning, profile creation and integration with social media networks including LinkedIn and Facebook. This app can save you time by linking business contacts to associated meetings, messages and groups as well as displaying relevant information pulled from your calendar and Evernote account.

Turboscan is an app that never leaves my homescreen shortcut section. This popular app uses your smartphone's camera in order to scan a range of documents, including receipts — handy for keeping on top of expenses in the least time possible — standard documents, notes and whiteboard presentations. The scanning quality is clean and clear, and you are able to tinker with scans and perspective to improve the quality of the file. FlightView is a live flight-tracking application. Input your flight number and route in order to bring up an interactive map that allows you to track exactly where your plane is.
