Tawkon

Price: Free
Platform: Jailbroken iOS (iPhone), BlackBerry, Windows Phone 7, Android

Mobile phone radiation is the subject of much debate, but, if you want to take as few chances as possible, Tawkon may be worth a look. It says it uses RRI (Real-time Radiation Indication) patent-pending technology, although what that technology is, is unclear. According to Tawkon, the app measures your phone's specific absorption rate (SAR) levels, network coverage, location, environmental conditions and phone usage, and will give you an easy-to-read display showing how much radiation your phone is emitting at any given time. It will also alert you when radiation increases.

Android users, bear in mind that although you may be able to download the app from the Market, your device may still not be supported. Go to the Tawkon website to check device compatibility before you download an app you can't use.
