Time to Call allows users to make 15-minute international calls at a much lower cost than they could via mobile carriers, with payment for the calls occurring via iTunes. For a limited time, Vonage is offering one free international call as a trial per download of the app.

Randstad Job Search

Platform: iOS (iPhone), Android

Don't want to limit your job search to one country? This app allows users to search for jobs in over 57 countries by keyword, country, sector, region, city and job type. Users can save jobs to a private list to look at later, even if there's no coverage. It also saves users' search configuration so they don't have to keep entering parameters.

Skype for iPad

Platform: iOS (iPad)

Skype for iPad is built specifically for Apple's tablet device, enabling users to call with full screen video. Users can call, video call, or instant message anyone on Skype or call landlines and mobiles if they have credit on their Skype account.

Sydney Buses Stops

Price: $0.99
Platform: iOS (iPhone and iPad)

This app lets you look up the stop number of your bus and send a text to the automated next bus service from within the app, which will then give you a prompt reply via SMS from Sydney Buses saying when the next bus is due.

Texas Instruments' app is a resource for design engineers on Texas Instruments' parts. If within 3G or Wi-Fi coverage, the engineer can also plan their designs using the app.

Brother iPrint&Scan

Price: Free
Platform: iOS (iPad and iPhone), Android, Windows Phone 7

Brother iPrint&Scan allows users to print and scan photos, as well as documents, from and to the mobile device. The app uses the local wireless network to connect to supported models of Brother printers.

IBM Connections

IBM Connections is a web application deployed on a company intranet to promote collaboration within the company. The app allows employees to access data while on the go. Users download the application and log in using the same credentials as they normally would. The server has to be running version 3.0.1 and the July 2011 mobile update or higher for the application to work.
