Polycom buys Accordent for $50m

The $50m (£31m) cash deal highlights how Polycom plans to grow with a mix of acquisition and organic growth.
Accordent's technology, which delivers live webcast technology, rich media webcasting and streaming extensions to video conferencing, will be integrated with Polycom's UC Intelligent Core. Accordent is also a partner with Microsoft and will help Polycom better integrate with Lync and SharePoint.
