Cupertino has offered a one-month extension to developer subscriptions as an olive branch to its developers for three weeks of patchwork service.
"We understand that the downtime was significant, and apologise for any issues it may have caused in your app development," Apple said in an email to developers. "To help offset this disruption, we are extending the membership of all developer teams by one month."
The company decided to rebuild its developer infrastructure, following an intrusion by security researcher Ibrahim Balic.
On the same weekend of Balic's intrusion, Ubuntu suffered a breach that resulted in the loss of user information and website defacing.
Ubuntu disclosed the details of its breach last month, whereas the complete details of Balic's intrusion have not been disclosed by Apple.
