CNET Review
The Good: If you're looking for a model with fast performance, decent video capture, and the benefits of an electronic viewfinder, those are the Sony Alpha SLT-A35's strong suit.
The Bad: Even compared to a dSLR it's a bit dowdy-looking and it's bulkier than competitive ILCs, with a couple of awkward control placements.
The Bottom Line: A solid camera for point-and-shoot upgraders who want to be able to shoot action and video, the Sonly Alpha SLT-A35's bulk may still be a turn-off for some.

reghardware.co.uk
Review Summary: Review Sony's Alpha SLT-35 expands on its translucent mirror camera models that offer similar handling to a DSLR and compatibility with its A mount Alpha range of lenses. The catch with this magic mirror tech is that to keep things compact, you end up...
The Verdict: Given the current street price of the Sony SLT-A35, it's a real bargain and a camera suitable for both beginners and enthusiast photographers. If kitted out with better (and pricier) optics such as the Sony's Carl Zeiss options [24], then I daresy this...

Review Summary: Louis van Wyk finds lots to like on this SLT camera.
The Verdict: On the plus side, the A35 can handle HD movie recording, ships with a decent software suite offering a broad range of editing options and an accurate Face Search tool. In all, the Sony Alpha 35 is well-placed to take on more expensive and larger...

Review Summary: The Sony SLT-A35 reworks the A33 model -which we reviewed and raved about in September 2010- by adding a new sensor and trimming back on some design traits for a yet more cost-effective camera. As well as expanding the Single Lens Translucent (SLT)...
The Verdict: The Sony Alpha SLT-A35 produces fantastic images, has a great continuous autofocus mode, shoots at up to 5.5fps and provides an HD movie mode good enough to outperform its closest rivals. Its one ‘downer’ is an electronic viewfinder that won’t suit all...

Review Summary: The format of this review has been slightly shortened as the Sony SLT-A35 is in terms of operation and image output very similar to the Sony SLT-A55 that we reviewed in August 2010. To learn everything about the SLT-A35 we recommend reading not only...
The Verdict: The Sony SLT-A35 is an excellent all-round performer that gets all the basic stuff right and is fun to shoot with. The feature set is great for a camera at this price point and if you can live without an optical viewfinder the SLT-A35 is a very good...

Review Summary: The best way to think of the Sony Alpha SLT-A35 is by picturing it half-way between a digital SLR camera like the Canon EOS 600D and a mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera like the Olympus E-P3.
The Verdict: The Sony Alpha A35 is a viable alternative for its entry-level Canon EOS 600D and Nikon D3100 competitors. It doesn’t have any special surprises in picture quality or usability, although we think the build quality of the bundled lens isn't great and...

Review Summary: The Alpha SLT-A35 is the latest Sony camera to use translucent mirror technology, and delivers speedy autofocus and fast continuous shooting.
The Verdict: While attention is naturally drawn to the super-fast AF and continuous shooting abilities of the A35, what really impresses is overall image quality. Sony has made great strides with its Exmor sensors, and the result here is a camera that performs...

Review Summary: This 16-megapixel dSLR features in-camera image stabilization, a handy selection of picture effects and good low-light performance.
The Verdict: The A35 is a subtle update to the Alpha range of SLRs and while it won't be a game-changer, it's certainly good at what it does. The A35 is available as body only for S$999 (US$830)or a single lens kit S$1099 (US$913) in Asia.

Review Summary: Bursting with technology, the 16.2mp SLT-A35 offers high-speed, Continuous AF, up to 7fps burst rate and HD video: all for just over £500. Is there a catch?
The Verdict: Offering simple, no-fuss handling, beginners will find the camera very easy to get to grips with. There's a good range of automatic and scene modes, as well as in-camera colour and picture effects - all of which produce great results with minimal...
