Canon Pixma iP2600 Photo Printer

12 Reviews | About the ZDNet Score

The Canon Pixma iP2600 is an excellent option for buyers looking to print their personal photos and text documents. We wish it had external ports for direct image uploading (although we're not surprised it doesn't), but you'll be more than satisfied with this printer's ability to deliver quality photos at a low price.

The Good: Sleek design folds up for unobtrusive storage; portrait prints display evenly balanced colors; lines of text look sharp; low price for print quality.

The Bad: Lacks PictBridge port and memory card slot; brighter colors had a slightly gray cast; USB cord not included; exterior is a magnet for fingerprints.

The Bottom Line: The Canon Pixma iP2600 is an excellent option for buyers looking to print their personal photos and text documents. We wish it had external ports for direct image uploading (although we're not surprised it doesn't), but you'll be more than satisfied with this printer's ability to deliver quality photos at a low price.

Review Summary: Canon once again hits the mark with this affordable inkjet printer.

The Verdict: What it all comes down to is that the PIXMA iP2600 is a very good photo and plain paper printer for under £35. For the price, it's reasonably quick, fairly cheap to run and produces prints that are well above average. As you pay more, you'll find...

Review Summary: Low-priced printers are nothing new - even if the Canon Pixma iP2600's £35 price tag is pretty special.

The Verdict: For only marginally more you can get a very decent multifunction printer that offers slightly better performance and adds scanning and copying features to the mix. However, that price is really rather stunning. Given the obvious limitations set by its...

RE: Canon Pixma iP2600 Photo Printer
bizgraphics 24th Sep 2010
I loved the price! BUT ..... the ink cartidges run out in 50 copies or less! That is my experience so far with both color and the black cartridges, they cost TOO MUCH for such a small yield compared to other printers!

Even purchasing thru 3rd party, the ink runs out too fast! Making this inexpensive printer, VERY Expensive to operate....

I am dumping mine for a more cost effective printer.
My old epson lasted 7 years and was cheap to operate!
sad
