Review Summary: The service rating was average

The Verdict: With all its speed and skill, the C780n might have rated higher, if not for its dicey reliability rating. For a busy or growing office, however, it's a good bet in this price range.

Review Summary: The Lexmark C500n is the new baby in the company's family of networked color lasers. It's similar to the Lexmark C510n, C522n, and C524n models we've ...

The Verdict: Lexmark's budget-priced colour laser delivers fast, high-quality text. Albeit without the option for a duplexer, but you can increase your paper tray to a 530-sheet tray for an additional cost.

Review Summary: Lexmark's home inkjets are the epitome of easy-to-install easy-to-use printers. It might be wise, then, for Lexmark's business laser division to go and have a look at how they do it, since this new laser multifunction device, the Lexmark X502n, proves...

The Verdict: If you like a little experimentation, you'll find the Lexmark X502n has more than enough ability and class to make excellent work of your printing, scanning and faxing. However, the Lexmark X502n's documentation is poor and, for the inexperienced,...

Review Summary: Based on the same engine used to power the popular Lexmark c500 family of colour lasers, the x502n is a robust multifunction device from a respected manufacturer. But it's not particularly cheap and leaves a lot ...

The Verdict: Based on a proven colour laser printer engine, the Lexmark x502n is a robust and capable multi-function printer that will save money compared to buying separate dedicated devices. It's also relatively cheap to run, but we didn't find it as easy to use...

Review Summary: The market for budget printers is hot with all major inkjet manufacturers bringing in some pretty good printers at unbelievable prices. Lexmark has had some success itself in the budget category, and just recently, they launched 2 new budget printers ...

The Verdict: Even with its highly appealing price, it's hard to recommend a printer that does nothing right, besides look cute. The print quality is just average, the build is cheap and the speed isn't worth much either.

Review Summary: The $1479 Lexmark X422 offers an ethernet connection and is one of three laser MFPs we tested this month that include an automatic duplexer. In addition to faxing, it allows you to send and receive e-mail messages with attachments or Web links.

The Verdict: With the automatic document feeder, the X422 stands 31 inches tall, so make sure to give it a lot of headroom. Adding an optional paper tray would make it even taller; a 500-sheet tray costs $103 and boosts paper capacity to the maximum of 850 sheets,...
