The Good: The D-Link DIR-655 offers decent throughput performance and stable wireless signal. The router has an intuitive and responsive Web interface, support for Gigabit Ethernet and guest networking, and an extensive set of networking features.
The Bad: The DIR-655 doesn't have dual-band support. Its SharePort USB port can work with only one computer at a time.
The Bottom Line: With the latest firmware update, the D-Link DIR-655 is arguably one of the best among single-band Wireless-N routers on the market.

The problem with "professional reviews is that the reviewers test the products for a very brief time. Initially this router works well . . . UNTIL it fails- usually after 3-5 weeks the router-to-Internet connection fails. So the router communicates with your PC, printer, etc - just NOT to the Internet! NOT a good thing.
After DLink Tech Support fails to convince you that it is YOUR fault, they agree to "fix" your unit, which is returned in about 3 weeks. When the "fixed" unit again fails, then agree to send you a NEW router in 3 weeks - the same piece of junk. Soon enough that unit fails and the process repeats itself !
Save yourself the time and hassle and buy ANY non-DLink router instead - you will be much happier! (I literally threw the DLink router out the window into the woods adjoining my home!)
As I said, "Forget about it!"
But I really got disapointed with D-Link services, once I wanted to upgrade firmware and the device simply doesn??t update, even using step by step provided by D-Link. The latest version would allow me to connect to my company using wireless on a VPN network, but since it didn??t work I had to use cable instead of wireless. I think the service was very lame, and could have helped me out. You pay for a high price for a poor service and no updateble device. Very Sad.
I would recomand it for standard use.. =)
