RightScale on Wednesday launched a self-service portal that aims to allow developers and enterprise to easily pick from a catalog of cloud applications from multiple providers, create a stack and track costs.

For RightScale, which specializes in cloud portfolio management, the self-service portal is the third installment of a broader strategy. RightScale launched cloud analytics in November and went beta in March. The company followed up with a cloud management tool that offers VMware vSphere integration and went general availability in March.

RightScale Self-Service, which is delivered as a service, allows enterprises to provision instances and multi-tier stacks from a catalog approved by the information technology department. The portal also allows for application management, cost tracking and shutdown schedules.

The portal is integrated with RightScale's Cloud Management product. RightScale Self-Service includes a catalog that supports AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack and VMware vSphere environments, automated workflows, cost controls and policy controls.
