Rio's remote mining ops centre: photos

    In a statement, Rio Tinto said the "high-technology, purpose-built" operations centre is now the primary control centre for the company's network of mines, rail systems, infrastructure facilities and port operations in the Pilbara — up to 1500km away from the centre's home in Perth.
