Salesforce.com buys data provider Jigsaw

Salesforce.com said on Wednesday it has acquired Jigsaw, which offers cloud-based data services.
The deal, valued at $142m (£92m), gives Salesforce.com a Wikipedia-like business contact system. Salesforce.com said it plans to combine its CRM applications with Jigsaw's cloud model for collecting business contact data.
Ultimately, Salesforce.com will partner with companies like Dun & Bradstreet, Hoover's and others to build out data. Salesforce.com said in a statement that the acquisition marks its "entry into the $3bn cloud-based data services market."
