Samsung Galaxy Tab heads towards one million sales
Samsung has said that it has sold more than 600,000 units of its 7-inch Galaxy Tab PC around the world, pushing it towards its goal of selling one million units this year.

The company said consumer demand has been "robust" and is outpacing supply in most countries, according to a report in The Korea Herald. The Samsung Galaxy Tab, powered by Google's Android OS, is available in more than 30 countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
The device, which was released in the UK on 1 November, is a challenger to Apple's iPad, although that device has a strong headstart. The playing field is expected to become much more crowded in 2011 as companies such as Research in Motion, with its BlackBerry Playbook, and HP, with WebOS-based devices, prepare to unleash their own tablets on the market.
