Watchdog puts brakes on BT Infinity ads

The Advertising Standards Authority has upheld four complaints against the advertising of BT's super-fast Infinity broadband service on the grounds that they could be misleading.The ASA said on Wednesday that it had investigated four complaints about BT's advertising of its Infinity broadband packages — which appeared in print, online and on television — put forward by rival broadband provider Virgin Media.

Mozilla changes tune on Firefox enterprise support

Mozilla has moved to assure business users that it cares about them after all, a month after its browser chief said the enterprise had never been a focus for the company.In June, Asa Dotzler responded to complaints about the newly-accelerate Firefox release schedule by saying the enterprise, where IT managers need more time to make sure updates do not break web apps, was "really just a drop in the bucket" for Mozilla.

The release candidate of Firefox 4 could be just days away despite widespread reports of delays, according to the community manager for Firefox.The release — which had originally been scheduled for October last year but was subsequently delayed until February 2011 — could be just around the corner according to a post on Twitter from Asa Dotzler, head of community for Firefox marketing projects.

Mozilla gets PR help from community

CNET News.com's Greg Sandoval interviews Mozilla community coordinator Asa Dotzler, and Pete Macomber, who produced the winning 30-second promotion video in a Mozilla marketing contest.
