Google: Inertia blocks enterprise cloud adoption

Sage to take ERP tools into the cloud with Azure

The UK software company Sage is to take on its enterprise resource planning rivals in the cloud by developing some of its products to run on Microsoft's Windows Azure platform.According to the company, the first such product in the UK will be Sage 200, a suite that encompasses business intelligence (BI), customer relationship management (CRM) and financial management software.

Microsoft has released a beta version of Windows Server 8, which brings new features such as an updated Hyper-V hypervisor, as well as multi-machine management and automation capabilities.The company released the beta build on Thursday, following a preview in September aimed at developers and hardware partners.
