In what is likely a futile effort to "clean-up" Internet culture, China officials have announced that they aren't going to issue any new licenses for Internet cafes, reports the Associated Press. No new licenses will be given until regulators investigate concerns that online material is harming young people.
Recently I have been very negative about the Open Source Community in China and the half hearted efforts by foreign communities to help develop an Open Source Culture in China.
