AMD announces Hondo processor for Windows 8 tablets

Windows 8 gives the x86 competition a fresh shot at the mobile market. With that mind, AMD announced a new Z-Series processor for Windows 8 tablets and hybrids. It will compete with Intel's recently-announced Atom Z2760 along with ARM-based tablets running Windows RT.

Apple's new and improved MacBook Pro and MacBook Air

There was no Apple TV in sight, but Apple delivered exactly what everyone expected at today's Worldwide Developers Conference including fresh MacBooks and new versions of Mac OS X and iOS. The biggest surprise was a redesigned Apple MacBook Pro that is notably thinner and lighter, but has a super high-resolution display, faster quad-core processor and Nvidia's latest discrete graphics.

Apple presents 'the new iPad'

Apple has introduced a new model to its successful iPad range, which it calls 'the new iPad', rather than the iPad 3.The device was launched on Wednesday in San Francisco and brings a number of new hardware features, such as a 5-megapixel camera, high-resolution 'retina' display and quad-core graphics processor for an improved gaming experience.
