HP packages aim to entice enterprise into cloud

HP has updated its range of cloud packages, with the introduction of cloud services for the enterprise from US and UK datacentres, a new package for private cloud deployments and a cloud automation tool.HP Enterprise Cloud Services Compute will provide IT services from a UK datacentre, which HP believes will help with data governance and compliance, the company announced on Tuesday.

IBM releases upgrade to Tivoli software

IBM today announced the release of a new verison of its Tivoli Identity Manager, which includes upgrades that allows the company to "administer, secure, monitor and certify user identities and their access to applications, information and systems."Basically, this is about access and being able to manage that access - as well as compliance with industry and government regulations - across the entire company via security software.
