BT blocks The Pirate Bay

BT started blocking access to The Pirate Bay around midday on Tuesday, the ISP has confirmed.BT Retail was the last of the big UK internet service providers to institute the block, which had been ordered by the High Court after an earlier ruling that found The Pirate Bay (TPB) to be aiding copyright infringement.

Sky blocks Newzbin2 following court order

Sky Broadband began blocking Newzbin2 on Tuesday, after receiving a court order telling it to do so.The ISP is the second major internet provider to block access to the file-sharing website, after BT started doing so around the end of October.

DDoS risk plagues accidental ISPs

Mobile telcos that became "accidental" internet service providers (ISPs) through the rise of mobile broadband are more at risk of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks than fixed broadband providers, according to Arbor Networks Asia Pacific solutions architect Roland Dobbins.
