Microsoft outpacing open source in Olympic race

The IT infrastructure of next year's Olympic Games in Beijing will mainly run Microsoft Windows but some systems will use open-source software -- including Sun's Solaris."Many of the systems are using Microsoft Windows," said Jeremy Hore, chief integrator for the 2008 Beijing Olympics at Atos Origin, in an e-mail interview with ZDNet Australia sister site ZDNet Asia.
