There is much talk of a 'post-PC' world in which smartphones, tablets and other digital devices take centre stage. Be that as it may, the PC-centred world is currently suiting Lenovo just fine: the company has recently overtaken Dell to take the number-two spot in worldwide PC sales behind HP.

Okoro OMS-BX300 home theater PC delivers high performance, high price

While companies like Dell and Lenovo are trying to enter the home theater PC market at the low end, with unassuming processors and nary a Blu-ray drive to brag about, Okoro is heading in the opposite direction with its new OMS-BX300 "Blu-ray Digital Entertainment System." New Dell Inspiron consumer laptops leaked! (hint: thin)

Those tricky people over at Engadget have gotten their digital hands on the next crop of Dell Inspirons, and it's safe to say that thin is in.The Dell Inspiron 1435, 1535 and 1735 mid-range consumer laptops seem to share the same basic design and have, as Dell likes to say is its calling card, a wealth of customization options both aesthetic and technical.

HP iPAQ 210 PDA starts shipping for US$449

It is quite rare to find a dedicated PDA without phone functionality today, but it looks like HP is now shipping their iPAQ 210 Enterprise Handheld. This is quite a powerful PDA with a 624MHz processor, 256MB ROM, 128MB RAM, integrated Compact Flash and integrated Secure Digital slots, 4 inch VGA (480x640 pixels) display, integrated WiFi and integrated Bluetooth radios. Actually, the Dell Axim X51v I have from a couple years ago has just about the same specs, the display is 3.7 inches instead of 4 inches. However, you can no longer find the Axim X51v or HP hx4700 so this new HP is really your only choice for a high-end stand alone PDA.
