Copyright enforcement organisation found torrenting

IP addresses assigned to a major intellectual property body and the US Department of Homeland Security have been linked to torrents for downloading pirated music and films.Torrentfreak said on Saturday it had found six unique Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) IP addresses that were associated with torrents of copyrighted material ranging from albums by Jay-Z to the first five seasons of TV show Dexter.

Scada implicated in hack on water utility

A US water utility has been damaged by a hack that exploited its supervisory control and data acquisition (Scada) software, according to a security expert.The hack, detailed on Thursday by Joe Weiss, the managing partner of Applied Control Solutions, which provides consulting services for securing industrial control systems, was disclosed in a report by an unnamed US government organisation.
