Juniper Networks gets its green on

Turns out that Juniper Networks is one of the anchor tenants in IBM's new "greenest" data center in North America,which it opened last month in Boulder.The networking powerhouse has signed a five-year data center hosting agreement under which IBM will run its worldwide ERP and CRM applications.

And just as you are in cozy partnership (like you have a choice) with your ERP or SOA vendors, enterprises and businesses of almost all sizes will be in partnership soon with the clouds. The shared and protected data alike will be scattered about, too complex for closed marts and masters. The cloud that can manage data in way that allows both user-level and process-level access, with granular permissioning -- and allows CXOs to feel good about it all -- gets the gold ring.

ERP top software priority among readers, says ZDNet study

ERP is the key software initiative organizations are now focused on according to the latest IT Priorities data.  The software category as a whole jumped last month from the number four top IT priority to number two, stopping short of VoIP which remained untouched as the dominant topic on the minds of IT decision makers.
