Apple hacked by same group that attacked Facebook

The iPhone and iPad maker said today that it is working with law enforcement to identify the hackers that breached its internal network. The same Java exploit that was used to attack Facebook was also to blame for allowing the hackers in to Apple's network.

MSN Norway serving Flash exploits through malvertising

Morten Krakvik from the Norwegian Honeynet Project is reporting that MSN Norway is among the latest victims of malvertising, a practice where a bogus advertising provider tricks leading portals into accepting advertisements from its network, which often end up redirecting to live exploit URLs.

CNET's Clientside developer blog serving Adobe Flash exploits

Yesterday, Websense Labs issued an alert regarding a compromised CNET blog, namely the Clientside developer blog which has been embedded with a malicious javascript code attempting to exploit the visitors through a well known vulnerability in Adobe Flash's player. Critical BlackBerry exploit to be released Aug 14

If you're BlackBerry Enterprise Server isn't in "positioned" in a network DMZ, perhaps now is a good time to move it.  According to a report by eWeek's Matt Hines, on Aug 14, security researchers will be releasing the code to an exploit that leverages a BlackBerry's capability to securely connect or "tunnel into" a corporate network.
