Recently I was on the task of getting some scripts together for handling FTP commands to run several time a day to move files around. Unfortunately, the platform that was already in place is a Windows 2008 R2 server.

Most file sharing in businesses is done through email, which clogs up your mail server and multiplies versions of files confusingly. SharePoint is a runaway success, but there are plenty of alternatives that don't require you to run your own servers (or find ways of making them available to external partners).

Adobe releases Reader for iOS

Adobe has put out a version of its PDF reader software for Apple's iOS, addressing devices including the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.The free and fully-featured Adobe Reader hit iTunes on Monday, allowing users to read PDF portfolios and password-protected PDF files.
