Hull and East Yorkshire get 100Mbps fibre details

KCom has revealed the locations in Hull and East Yorkshire where its retail ISP arm KC will roll out 100Mbps fibre-based broadband.The company, which is in the unusual position of having a monopoly in Hull, said on Monday that its KC Lightstream fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) services would be available to 15,000 homes and businesses in east and west Hull, to the north of Hull and "across several East Yorkshire villages".

Telstra gives HFC network 100Mbps boost

Although the death knell has tolled for Telstra's hybrid fibre-coaxial (HFC) network with the signing of the $11 billion deal with the National Broadband Network Company (NBN Co), Telstra has committed to upgrading the network to provide speeds of 100 megabits per second by next month.

KC brings 100Mbps fibre trial to East Yorkshire

Internet service provider KC is launching a six-month trial of super-fast fibre-to-the-home broadband in Woodmansey, East Yorkshire.The service will give residents up to 100Mbps broadband via fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) or fibre-to-the-kerb (FTTK) connections, KC said on Friday.
