An update to the Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android operating system is now available for Sony's Tablet S devices.The company announced the update in a blog post on Thursday, highlighting some of the new features of the operating system, such as new home screen actions, revamped web browser and new camera modes.
Google is quick to point out how many tablet apps are in the Google Play market, and just as quick to get its own apps released. Unfortunately they seem to crash regularly, even on ICS.
Motorola started rolling out the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Xoom tablet -- WiFi only -- in January but the date for the ICS updates for Xoom WiFi and 3G and Droid devices in the US are still not defined. Dates are provided for outside of the U.S.
It's getting there - The Kindle Fire would make a really good $200 Android ICS tablet.
