Samsung sues Apple back in Aussie court

Making good on a legal threat made three weeks ago in the Federal Court of New South Wales, Korean electronics giant Samsung has counter-sued Apple for intellectual property and patent infringement violations, targeting almost all of Apple's mobile gadget range, including the iPhone 3G, 3Gs, iPhone 4 and iPad 2.

'Arrogant' Apple battles over copyright

Apple is being sued for copyright infringement by Jigsaw Entertainment, an Australian TV production company. The iPhone app, Chopper Soundboard, contained material lifted without permission from one of Jigsaw's shows, The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, and the company reckons that Apple should have done more to prevent its sale.

Apple sues Nokia over touchscreen-scrolling patent

Apple has filed lawsuit against Nokia in the UK for alleged patent infringement, this time focusing on a patent related to scrolling, according to online reports.The iPhone maker filed the suit in the High Court in London on Tuesday alleging that one of the patents — that covers the way scrolling works in touchscreen handsets — in a lawsuit brought by Nokia against Apple in Germany is invalid, according a report by Bloomberg.

Nokia sues Apple, alleges patent infringement by iPhone

The world's biggest cell phone maker is dragging the maker of one of the most popular cell phones to court over patent infringement. Nokia said today that it has filed suit against Apple, alleging that the iPhone infringes on Nokia's patents for GSM, UMTS and wireless LAN (WLAN) standards.

Cisco blogs about the iPhone suit

Mark Chandler, Cisco's SVP and General Counsel, has posted a blog entry on Apple's infringement of their iPhone trademark claiming that "this is not a suit against Apple’s innovation, their modern design, or their cool phone. It is not a suit about money or royalties. This is a suit about trademark infringement."
