Japan court rejects Samsung claim against Apple

Tokyo District Court rules Samsung had no rights over data transmission technology used in some of Apple's iPhones, in an injunction filed by the South Korean giant to prevent the manufacture and sale of some Apple smartphones.

Apple will refund 'misled' Australian iPad 3 customers

Apple said in court it will offer a refund to disappointed Australian buyers of the iPad 3, who believe they were misled by its lack of 4G connectivity.The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) brought the case to federal court, accusing Apple of violating Australian law, and threatening the company with massive fines or even a sales injunction.

Apple wins Motorola injunction over gallery scrolling

Apple has won another patent-related injunction against Motorola in Germany, this time over a photo-gallery function in Motorola's Android phones.However, Motorola says it has already worked round the function in question, so it is unaffected by the Munich regional court ruling on Thursday.

Apple beats Motorola in slide-to-unlock patent case

Apple has won a major patent case against Motorola in Germany that could theoretically take the latter company's Android smartphones off the shelves there, but Motorola claims it has worked around the patent in question and can therefore keep its handsets on sale.Apple was granted a permanent injunction by a Munich regional court on Thursday.
