Apple has won another patent-related injunction against Motorola in Germany, this time over a photo-gallery function in Motorola's Android phones.However, Motorola says it has already worked round the function in question, so it is unaffected by the Munich regional court ruling on Thursday.

Apple has won a major patent case against Motorola in Germany that could theoretically take the latter company's Android smartphones off the shelves there, but Motorola claims it has worked around the patent in question and can therefore keep its handsets on sale.Apple was granted a permanent injunction by a Munich regional court on Thursday.

Verizon joins in Samsung's fight against Apple

The US mobile network operator Verizon Wireless has stepped into the legal battle between Apple and Samsung, asking a Californian court not to ban Samsung's 4G Android devices over alleged patent infringement.In July, Apple filed with the US District Court for the Northern District of California for a preliminary injunction against Samsung's Galaxy S 4G, Infuse 4G and Droid Charge smartphones, as well as its Galaxy Tab 10.

Dutch court blocks Galaxy phones in parts of Europe

A Dutch court has ordered a preliminary injunction against Samsung in the company's ongoing patent battle with Apple.The injunction against Samsung's Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and Ace smartphones was granted by the Rechtbank's-Gravenhage in The Hague on Wednesday, and is due to come into effect in mid-October, according to court documents.
