It's almost impossible to believe but more than a year after the iPad's debut Facebook still hasn't released a native app for the blockbuster Apple tablet. The official Facebook app for iOS (iTunes, free) was available when the App Store opened in July 2008 and has over 78 million monthly active users.

Mac OS X App Store to open doors in early January

Apple's upcoming Mac App Store will open its virtual doors on 6 January, according to an announcement from the company on Thursday.The repository will deliver Mac apps directly to OS X devices in much the same way as the iTunes App Store does for its iOS counterparts.
