Apple presents 'the new iPad'

Apple has introduced a new model to its successful iPad range, which it calls 'the new iPad', rather than the iPad 3.The device was launched on Wednesday in San Francisco and brings a number of new hardware features, such as a 5-megapixel camera, high-resolution 'retina' display and quad-core graphics processor for an improved gaming experience.

Samsung Omnia W GT-i8350

The Omnia W is attractively priced, and the screen is large enough to deliver a reasonable web browsing (if you can live without Flash) and mobile email experience. Build quality is solid, but the design is unremarkable.

RedBalloon: iPads not replacing desktops

Experience and reward company RedBalloon has given each of its staff a shiny new iPad 2 to use as a productivity tool, but the company has told ZDNet Australia that it has no intentions of using the Apple tablets to replace its fleet of desktop computers.
