iPad market share at record-low 35 percent

WitsView stats reveal Apple iPad has hit its lowest market share at 35.5 percent of global tablet shipments, pushing 14.6 million units in the second quarter, while Samsung's market share climbs to 21.5 percent from 20.2 percent.

Samsung has filed for bans on Apple's iPhone 4S smartphone in Japan and Australia, saying it will not back down in its global war with the American company.The Tokyo-based suit also seeks a preliminary injunction against sales of the iPad 2 tablet, according to The Korea Times.
