Google Nexus 5 review: Great value for money

Given its specification and performance, the Nexus 5 delivers great value for money — if you can live with its (few) drawbacks. The middling-quality camera and uninspiring chassis design don't worry us, but the lack of MicroSD card storage expansion and moderate battery life are more serious minus points.

Lenovo ThinkPad Helix review: high-quality tablet/ultrabook

This excellent Windows 8 tablet/ultrabook hybrid has a well-designed keyboard docking mechanism, typically solid build quality and a specification well suited to mainstream business use. It has a hefty price tag, though, and the lack of SD-based storage expansion is perplexing.

Lenovo ThinkPad T420s

Much of this ThinkPad's design — and particularly the excellent keyboard — is traditional, but it packs plenty of up-to-date specs too: Core i7 CPU, hybrid discrete/integrated graphics, solid-state drive, USB 3.0 and a high-quality multimedia subsystem. All this makes for an expensive notebook, but it's one we're happy to recommend.
