Dragon brings speech to the iPhone with Search and Dictation apps

Nuance's Dragon speech recognition tools are well known on PC, but in the mobile world the company's probably best known for its work on extended T9. That's going to change with the arrival in the UK App Store of iPhone and iPad versions of its voice-powered Search and Dictation apps.

Windows 7: A worthwhile upgrade?

Will Microsoft's Windows 7 succeed where Vista failed? The new operating system offers a new graphical user interface, more reliable power management tools, and better search, but it still might not offer enough to convince PC users to buy it. Evernote announces PDF search capability

Regular readers here know that I am a big fan of the Evernote application that I use on my PC, Mac, and mobile phones. Evernote just announced an amazing new feature for premium subscribers (I have been a premium subscriber since day 1) that I am sure will be great news for many of you. Evernote now supports PDF Search capabilities so the PDF documents you upload to your account go through their search recognition technology engine servers and are fully searchable within minutes.

No Apple-like attack ads for Microsoft's big-bucks Bing campaign

On June 3, Microsoft kicked off its multi-million-dollar ad campaign designed to promote its rebranded Bing search engine.
