The iPhone and iPad maker has been without a retail chief for almost a year. During that time, visitors to Apple Stores have declined, and revenues and sales are flat. While nobody has yet fit the bill to replace the retail boss, is Apple simply not in a rush to find a replacement?

Operator begins taking iPhone 5 pre-orders

T-Mobile's parent group, Deutsche Telekom, has started taking pre-orders in Germany for the next generation of iPhone.The network is the first to begin taking orders for what is being referred to as the iPhone 5, but it is only doing so in its retail stores for people who specifically request the successor to the iPhone 4, a Deutsche Telekom spokesman told Bloomberg on Monday.
