Samsung Galaxy S5 review: Top-notch specs, less software bloat

Samsung has done a good job with the Galaxy S5. Software bloat has been pared down and a few useful new features added, while the technical specifications are superb and battery life is good. Design purists may bemoan the plastic chassis, but the Galaxy S5 is still a worthy successor to last year's model.

Lenovo to launch games service in China

To be launched in third-quarter 2013, Lenovo Game World will offer social networking features and gameplay tips, and is aimed at overtaking Samsung smartphones in China as well as reducing reliance on the ThinkPad business.

Samsung Galaxy S4 review

With the Galaxy S4, Samsung has squeezed a superb 5-inch screen and a host of high-end features into a slightly slimmer, thinner and lighter chassis than its S III predecessor. It's an excellent handset, but some will find the S4 overladen with unnecessary features and too expensive.

Windows isn't the only OS that cares about pens

But it might be the only OS with the patent to do pens the right way…One of the highlights of Adobe's MAX developer conference this year was Photoshop Touch; a tablet application, initially for Android but coming soon for iPad, that's a real application with powerful features. Equally interesting was the device Adobe was demonstrating it on - a prototype Samsung Galaxy Tab with the kind of pressure-sensitive Wacom pen that's been in Tablet PCs for years.
