CN Group picks up NSW DET, OneSteel

Australian IT services company, CN Group, has chalked up some major contract wins, becoming the lead SAP integrator for the new NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) HR/payroll system. The CN Group also won a major SAP transformation contract with mining and manufacturing company, OneSteel.

CNBC: SAP America's president should offer media training

During an interview on CNBC, SAP's CEO Bill McDermott, said customers buy his software to accomplish three goals:Making moneyCost reductionsMaintaining complianceIn a moment of what some might consider to be irrational exuberance, McDermott described SAP as the only software company able to offer these things to customers. I suspect some SAP competitors might take issue with his comment.

What's up with SAP's 'game-changing' A1S

SAP has been talking up its forthcoming solution for the mid-market, A1S, that will help the company grow from around 40,000 customers to 100,000 by 2010. According to Shai Agassi, president of SAP's Products & Technology Group, the goal of new suite is to dramatically reduce the tax across technology, operations, user training, integration and infrastructure for implementing and running ERP applications.
