Computex 2012: Intel strikes back with a new wave of Ultrabooks

Intel first introduced the Ultrabook concept at Computex exactly one year ago. Since then it has been working with partners to improve Ultrabooks and make them more affordable. The result is a flood of new Ultrabooks at this year's show, based on new 3rd Generation Core processors, that Intel hopes will reinvigorate PC sales.

Sky blocks Newzbin2 following court order

Sky Broadband began blocking Newzbin2 on Tuesday, after receiving a court order telling it to do so.The ISP is the second major internet provider to block access to the file-sharing website, after BT started doing so around the end of October.

GSMA investigating integrated SIM options

The GSM Association has announced the formation of a task force charged with investigating the best way to embed SIM cards that can be remotely activated in devices that don't traditionally carry them, such as MP3 players, sat-nav and e-readers.The aim of the scheme is to enable mobile broadband connectivity in a wider variety of devices, as well as to allow for new mobile form factors.
