Why Windows Phone is barely making a dent in the market

Microsoft has put a lot of dollars and effort into Windows Phone, even going as far as to buy Finnish handset firm Nokia in order to gain traction in the smartphone space. But despite this investment Windows Phone's usage share has grown from about one percent to around two percent over the past 12 months.

Amazon and Microsoft top Gartner's IaaS Magic Quadrant

Gartner’s 2014 Magic Quadrant on IaaS, which ranks the top 15 players in the Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) market, reaffirmed Amazon Web Services' (AWS) dominance in the IaaS space by once again ranking it number one in the 'Leaders' quadrant, reports Krishan Sharma.

Senate Committee finds FttN NBN 'inadequate', recommends FttP

The Senate Select Committee on the NBN has found the government's fibre-to-the-node (FttN) model is "inadequate", criticised the government's NBN Strategic Review for fudging its numbers to support the FttN model, and recommended that NBN Co be "unshackled" to continue the FttP rollout free from political interference.
