UK, US able to crack most encryption used online

By weakening encryption standards, inserting vulnerabilities into vendors' technology, and using supercomputer-backed password crackers, the US and the UK are able to break encryption used to back technologies like SSH, HTTPS, and VPNs.

AVG brings in 'do-not-track' feature

Security company AVG has launched a 'do-not-track' privacy feature for its free and premium security products.The feature monitors data being requested from a user's computer, and informs the user, AVG chief technology officer Yuval Ben-Itzhak told ZDNet UK on Tuesday.
