iOS 7: Does user experience really need a reboot?

I've already railed against Apple's overhaul of iOS 7, with its jarring use of white and its over-reliance on textual Web motifs. But, as the rest of the software industry follows suit – and as Microsoft and Apple blur the boundaries between tablet and desktop user interfaces – it's worth asking if the user experience really is improving.

Apple sues Nokia over touchscreen-scrolling patent

Apple has filed lawsuit against Nokia in the UK for alleged patent infringement, this time focusing on a patent related to scrolling, according to online reports.The iPhone maker filed the suit in the High Court in London on Tuesday alleging that one of the patents — that covers the way scrolling works in touchscreen handsets — in a lawsuit brought by Nokia against Apple in Germany is invalid, according a report by Bloomberg.
