Photoshop users attack Adobe upgrade policy change

The head of a US Photoshop user group has begged Adobe to delay its recently-introduced upgrade policy, which will force people using Creative Suite 4 apps or earlier versions to pay twice to upgrade to the upcoming Creative Suite 6 iterations of those apps.Adobe said earlier this month that it was changing its upgrade policy for people using Creative Suite (CS) apps such as Photoshop and Illustrator, so that only those who already have the last major version can upgrade to the new version.

Run virtualized Snow Leopard and Rosetta on Lion?

Some Lion users miss their older Rosetta-dependent applications, which didn't make the cut in the latest Apple OS upgrade. However, a recent tip says that with a little effort — a download or two — it is possible to run Snow Leopard, the Rosetta Power-PC emulation libraries, and your older apps on a Lion machine.

Google Apps Ninja Stories

I haven't been too easy lately on Google Apps in relation to Microsoft Office 2010. TouchDown Exchange Android app updated to version 3.0

I've written about TouchDown for Google Android in the past and it is one of the best priced apps I have purchased for my T-Mobile G1. I actually popped my SIM card in my G1 yesterday morning and discovered there was an upgrade to TouchDown that brought it up to version 3.x. I then received an email from the company with all the details surrounding this latest upgrade. As I mentioned before in my TouchDown articles, the NitroDesk Inc. people have been regularly updating the application to make the Exchange experience better and better for Google Android devices.

CTIA 09: PalmOS Classic lets you run Palm OS apps on the Palm Pre

Are you someone who has a ton of Palm OS apps and do not want to lose them if you upgrade to the Palm Pre? Palm previously said that Palm OS apps would not work on WebOS directly, but did leave it up to 3rd party developers to come up with a solution. As you can see in the video on PreCentral.net you will be good to go with the Palm OS emulator called Classic. Classic PalmOS emulator is from the folks at MotionApps and it actually looks pretty incredible. Applications run fast and may even be faster than what you see on many Palm OS devices today.
