TalkTalk 'most complained-about ISP' for fifth time

TalkTalk has maintained its position as the UK's most complained-about broadband provider for the fifth quarter running.The company beat fellow ISPs Sky, BT, Orange and Virgin to hold onto the dubious honour for the first quarter of this year, according to data published by communications regulator Ofcom on Tuesday.

MobileMe-2-iCloud deadlines fast approaching

About a year ago, Apple told its MobileMe customers that the company would discontinue the service and transition customers to its new iCloud service. The deadline for most customers is June 30. Customers who purchased additional MobileMe storage will get a few extra months to apply for a free iCloud expansion upgrade.

AWS releases private cloud cookbook

Amazon Web Services has released a tool that lets people create a recipe for a Virtual Private Cloud from a single template file.The upgrade, which lets developers use a CloudFormation template file to describe a set of EC2 resources and their supporting infrastructure, cuts the steps it takes to design and launch a private cloud system on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, the company announced in a blog post on Wednesday.
