iPhone 4S users are using almost twice as much data than its predecessors, according to a study. Apple's Siri is thought to be driving up the data usage, but it's not unique to the iPhone.

CES 2010: Manage your Chevy Volt with your smartphone and OnStar

We are seeing more and more mobile applications that extend the functionality of your daily life and one of the coolest ones I caught a glimpse of at CES 2010 was the new OnStar application for the Chevy Volt that is available for Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry devices. OnStar Mobile lets owners communicate with their car and perform functions such as door lock/unlock, remote start, view charge status, view stats on vehicle usage (mpg, trip miles, etc.), and set charge reminders.

Battery percentage indicator for all iPhones

Easily the most under-publicized new feature in the iPhone 3GS is the ability to view the amount of charge remaining in a numerical percentage in addition to the visual indicator that appears on the battery icon. To enable the feature, simply tap: Settings > General > Usage > Battery PercentageThe problem is that the feature is only available on the iPhone 3GS hardware, as is not a feature available on iPhone OS 3.
