Creative sues Huawei for US$9.3M
Singapore's Creative Technologies and its subsidiary QMax Communications are suing China mobile giant Huawei for the return of more than US$9.3 million (S$11.7 million), the Straits Times says.

In the news daily's report, it noted that this was for the installation and operation of telecommunications equipment for a WiMax broadband project, which was contracted to Huawei in June 2010.
The Straits Times added that the writ did not provide much details, and it was unclear what went wrong with the project.
In Creative's second quarter financial statement released early this month, the company had cited failure to network performance as the reason for the project's failure. However, Huawei was not named as the other party.
When contacted for a response, Creative declined to comment in light of the ongoinglitigation.
Qmax was the first to have a commercially-ready WiMax base station up and running in Singapore in 2006.
According to The Next Web, Huaiwei's telecom equipment business has been involved in a significant amount of controversy for its dealings in the Middle East, among other markets.
It noted that a report published in 2011 had accused the company ofknowingly assisted the Iranian government in tracking its citizens, which the company has denied.
