  • You log onto the Central Administration dashboard to configure SharePoint 2010's backup tools. Specific SharePoint features can be backed up, as well as elements of any SharePoint application.


  • Administrators get access to a dashboard where they can drill down into and manage their sites, web applications and databases. You can also use it to give your users access to SharePoint 2010's self-service features.
